Fine stuff
Fine stuff refers to a wet mixture of lime and fine sand used as a plaster finishing coat or pointing mortar for ashlar. As opposed to coarse stuff which is 'a wet mixture of lime and coarse sand used as a plaster, render undercoat or mortar. Can contain hair, especially if used for plastering.'
